I'd love to read any essays thrown my way. I'm curious about what other people have written, and don't worry, because I'm completely and totally done with essays. Also, I love to write, so basically the essays were my favorite part of the entire admissions process--I have to admit, I kinda looked forward to writing them, and I really enjoyed just letting my "voice" flow. I've read so many tips and such on how to write them, but to be honest, I didn't let anyone read mine before I sent 'em in--I worked too hard and went over them too many times to let anyone else change them, even for the supposedly better. Anyway, that's just my little story. Once again, I've love to read essays! Just email me.

Senior year is almost over, and I am finding that I have more and more time on my hands. So, if anyone is interested, I'd love to read some essays!
Just know... I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, and I can be harsh... but if you want the truth, I'll give it to you!

I'd be willing to help someone with their essays. Message me if you want.
For what it's worth, I'm going to either Harvard or Princeton next year.

I will read essays on the conditions that:
It's creative (this isn't high school, don't give me a theme analysis or some crap)
It is well thought out
And you've put effort into it.
Will probably take a week to get back to you, please PM. I'll talk 1 on 1.

Does anyone want to read something that I've already written? It's something written for a writing contest (creative non-fiction) but I feel that it would be quite proficient as a college essay too.
I'd like some opinions on that (and also some comments on the length of the piece).
MSG with your information so I can decide whether or not to send it to you, haha xP

from my personal experience, I wouldn't send my essay to anyone with less than 400 posts - but thats just me.

I have very few posts on CC but I'd like to offer to read people's essays if they are interested in my feedback.
For the last two years I have volunteered at the Post Grad center at our suburban high school. I've learned a lot about the college selection and application processes but I'd like to become more familiar with what constitutes a strong admissions essay.
Professionally I worked in Training and Development where I wrote Internet training materials. Last year, I taught US History in a long term sub position at a very rigorous charter middle school where I was required to evaluate student essays on a regular basis. Most recently, I helped my son edit his National History Day paper and that paper qualified to go to our state's finals.
I'll be upfront and say that I will be of little help with correct grammar and spelling, but I do believe that I can provide useful feedback when it comes to clarity, logical flow of information and voice.

I'd be happy to read =]
Also, if there are any potential Rice/Baylor scholars out there, I'd be happy to read your supplemental essays and let you know if you're headed in the right direction!
