Brainstorming Topics?

Does anyone have any pointers for brainstorming college essay topics?

I've been wracking my brain and honestly, I can't pinpoint a particularly life-changing event, encounter, etc. that would really be worth writing about.

I'm playing around with the idea of writing something a bit more thoughtful/meditative (as opposed to retelling a story), but I'm not sure if that'll work or not.

Any feedback would be helpful!

You need a prompt first before you think of anything. It's nice ot know what you WANT to write about, but that should not dictate the essay. Write to the prompt but have a lot of things to start up from. Take a look at the Common App prompts and write to each one. It's only April so you have plenty of time
