for commonapp: dont write about something i did for 1 year?

So the title explains itself, but should I avoid writing about an activity that I only did for 1 year for my commonapp activities essay? thanks!

In my opinion, if you were passionate about that activity and you showed a side of you that matured through the process and how, even though you stopped after 1 year, it impact still affects you, then it can really make a powerful short response.

I am going to write about one activity for one year. But, it is only offered when you are in a certain grade, so there is a legitimate reason for it.

I would still do it.

ok thanks for the help guys. this one year activity was cross country but it definitely impacted me a lot. i actually have the option of doing it again this year but i just feel really swamped by other work as it is.
