the internet. And if you really just want to pay someone for something, you can pay me to be your writing coach.

This book was recommended and is easy to read and pretty helpful (at least I thought so as did the kid I lent it to.) My s might have found it helpful if he'd ever really looked at it. http://www.amazon.com/Writing-Colleg...dp/0064637220#

lmfao, I don't need a writing coach. I'm a first gen student, so I'm unsure about the essay itself.

Thanks jym626. I'll look into it.

Any other suggestions? I'm looking for a good buy on Amazon.

^I think you misinterpreted me. I have helped a few people here on CC out. What I'll generally do is get them started on a good topic (if they don't have one already), and then help them with the overall style, coherence, and logic. So I'm more of an essay coach than anything else (and, of course, I don't charge anything).

And honestly, I think that on the internet you can find hundreds of examples, essential advice, and editing help (many CC people, me included, will edit your essays for free). I don't see what a book will tell you that the internet won't. But it might be worth it to go to your local large bookstore and browse through a few of the books and see if there are enough novel ideas in the pages you skim over to buy the entire book (or just spend a day hiding in the bookstore copying down the book's ideas).

Oh okay, I gotcha. Sorry for the confusion! I do appreciate the tips. My only concern with getting help from people on CC involves people using my essay without permission. There is no way to verify identity on here, unless it was through another website like Facebook.
