first off how long is it supposed to be. I have heard everything from 500-1,000. What is a generally accepted range (more importantly is 809 in that range)?

Also is a little sarcastic humor ok to add?
EX: "My uncle suggested an activity that would shift us from one cramped space to another: caving"

The minimum is stated as 250 words: "Please write an essay (250 words minimum) on a topic of your choice or on one of the options listed below."

But as for what is 'generally accepted' I'm sure changes with every person and school!
