For the prompt, "how did you get caught (or not caught as the case may be)?" is it all right to write fiction?
Or does it have to be about one of my experiences?
What are others doing, especially as the topic says 'you'?
I think it's better not to write fiction... unless maybe you put yourself in the fictional story somehow. The real point of the essay is to show off your creativity and help "you" come through the admissions officers. If you feel you can do so through writing a fictional story, go ahead and try... I just think it might be difficult.
