Ok so here is my dilemma, i need to write a personal essay for college applications and i can't do it. I am afraid it will sound like i am bragging and bragging is my pet peeve so i don't want to do it. My dear mother tells me that i am supposed to brag when writing these essays but i just can't bring my self to do it.

Please give me ways to achieve this important step in my college applications by giving ideas on how to write these essays without bragging.

you are trying to get accepted

don't say "i suck,reject me"

say

"i'm awesome, accept me"

thanks... i guess i will just have to put my pet peeve aside and just write the essay... or at least i will try
