| Columbia + UChicago Essays
This includes, naturally, the Common App. for UChicago--for those of you who don't know, Columbia has a non-common application.
Any takers? I would prefer credentials--IE, please tell me what schools you are applying to, or if you are done with the process, what college you go to now.
This is not because I believe anyone can copy my essays, it's more that I would rather not waste my time and send it to people who aren't at the level to edit them anyways (Though this sounds elitist, if somebody is going to county college, why would I want them to read it?)
I've been a long-time editor too, so if you want to trade, tell me.

It's it ironic that Columbia doesn't use the common app but Chicago (now) does?
That said, I'd be interested in reading them. I'm a bit elitist too in the sense that I like reading GOOD essays (don't we all).
I'm applying to Chicago EA but I already submitted the app, and not applying to Columbia at all. That said, I'd totally understand if you don't send me your Chicago essays.
Other schools: Swarthmore, Haverford, Amherst, Bowdoin, Pomona, Carleton, Tufts.

you've read mine and if you thought it was good enough then I won't mind reading yours. If not then I understand elitism |

i would be happy to read your essays if you pm me. i am new at this, but i am applying to small, liberal arts schools, not quite at the level of amherst or williams, but still enough to pass your "credentials test" i reckon. if you don't mind, i've been having trouble brainstorming my common app essay if you hav any ideas you don't want anymore

I'll take a read. I'm applying to Chicago too, but if I wanted to copy your essay I could just say I was applying elsewhere.
