Input on my freshman Schedule??

So, incoming freshman and unsure what to do so please give me any advice you can on if it sounds good or too intense( this is just my plan nothing is official yet ). I will be setting my schedule in stone in about a month at orientation. thank you

Monday:
8:00- 9:05---Calculus 1
9:15-10:20---Engineering Design
10:30- 11:35-Humanities Elective

Tuesday:
8:00- 9:40- Introduction to Engineering
1:35- 3:15- General Chem for Engineers

Wednesday
8:00- 9:05---Calculus 1
9:15-10:20---Engineering Design
10:30- 11:35-Humanities Elective

Thursday:
8:00- 9:05---Calculus 1
9:15-10:20---Engineering Design
10:30- 11:35-Humanities Elective

Friday:
1:35- 3:15- General Chem for Engineers
3:25- 5:05- Chem Recitation

the chemistry has no lab component if that makes a difference. I usually go to sleep at 11ish, 12 :30 latest. I figure even if I were to go out thursday night, my classes friday are late enough, and if need be I could take naps MWR or even a nap after my first class on tuesday.

I wake up pretty early generally, like 8: 30 with no alarm on weekends. people have told me that 8 am is too early, I feel as if I could just get over everything quicker, and while people are starting their classes I could be finishing up my homework, freeing the rest of the day. help me please

Your classes are way too early. You're going to want to drink or stay up all night every night so try to make your earliest class around 9 or 10. Also classes on Fridays are terrible especially if its nice out like in the Spring.

Your college will likely advise, steer, and require items for your schedule at orientation.
Most colleges have Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday/Thursday schedules. Yours may not be right.
You show Introduction to Engineering, General Chem for Engineers, and Chem Recitation all meeting only once a week. That may not be right.
You may go to bed and get up at certain times now. In college, you will have to change that. Then, out of college, you will have to change that.

I looked mine up already the schedule goes as MWThurs( 65 miniute classes) and Tues/F(100 minute classes). also the general chem meets twice a week, and the recitation is a zero credit once a week course, and the intro to engineering is also a one credit- once a week class.

For my school the classes for engineering are pretty much set in stone unless you have the appropriate ap credits. These are the classes for the same year first year curriculum

also my schedule is 3 hours and 15 minutes everyday, isnt that pretty spread out and stress free or no?? even if I am ridiculously tired, MWR especially, I would have free time from 12pm- 11 am surely enough to do my hw and study and chill??

Move the chemistry recitation if you can. You might end up never going to it, but the chances of that jump about 500% if it's scheduled for late Friday afternoon.

With the limited information we have I wouldn't suggest this schedule to either of my kids unless they were commuting or needed to get to a job. Have you looked at the location of your classes? You have 10 minutes between classes. That is not a lot of time if your classes are across campus - even on a small campus. You won't have time to ask even a quick question after class. You have no time to make connections with students in your classes. Engineering Design often involves group work - you will have to run right after class with no time to set up meetings etc. Yes this can all be done by phone or online but sometimes it is nice to have a few minutes after class, not to mention if a class runs over. Most profs don't like you packing up early and expect you in your seat at the start of classes. My kids try for blocks of 2 classes. This way you can arrive early to the first and stay after the second if needed. That MWR set of classes may seem great on paper but college students often stay up late - and that includes the ones who aren't into the party scene. Now having said that I of course have no idea what other sections of these classes are available so maybe it is the best schedule you could get. Every kid I have ever known has regretted taking 8am classes. I also agree that chem resitation so late on Friday will stink.

Yea the campus is small . I can move the recitation any time friday form 8:00 am to the time I have it. Also I can add it to any day I have but that would tack on another 100 minutes, and 4 classes in a row sounds killer for MWR. also, I can get out of my elective by using my ap credit but I wonder if I should wait longer down the line. Also, from what people have said the one credit intro to engineering never lasts the full 100 minutes.

Should I randomly just spread it out with one or two hour breaks in between? I don't wanna miss lunch though which I would normally eat somewhere between 12-2pm

Bro what are you doing? Use up all those AP credits. I'm telling you Friday classes are ****ing terrible so if I were you move your recitation to a different day if you can. Another thing is 8AMs are going to want to make you want to kill yourself.

I personally like to bang out my classes back to back. If I have a question I ask in class or email Professor/TAs (also both of them have office hours). I personally don't see the point in having breaks in between classes but people are different.

it seems like you're taking a very light load, 13 credits. You should strongly consider taking another class

I'm taking 17 credits and the max you can take is 19, if I use the ap credit it can get reduced to 14 credits for my first semester.
