I have approx. 20 hours per week.
If you have labs, lectures, etc. average them for a week.

13 hrs weekly... +3 for my audit, but each class (other than the one I'm auditing) includes an independent study project as well, so we spend much of the extra time working on that.

16 for the fall semester, as freshman can't go over 18 hours per school rules. I might get 17 next semester, but we'll see how it goes. My move-in isn't until Thurs and class begin next Monday, so I don't know too much about the hardness of class yet.

Hours as in credits? Or actual amount of hours I am in class each day? I could never really understand the credit system, so if someone could do me the honor by explaining it, that would be greatly appreciated... >.>

| Usually the number of credits equals the number of hours of class, but this can vary for classes with labs, labs alone, project based courses, etc. For instance, next semester I have 14 credits but only 12 credit hours. This will be the fewest hours of class I've ever had, and have had numbers ranging from 23 down to the 12 I will have next semester.

I have four courses, each counting for 4 credits and making a total of 16 per semester. As far as hours go, it's about 14-15 hours of class per week.

^ It sounds like he wants to know how many hours in class, not the number of credits
I've had 20 or so a semester, one lab usually. 3 hour labs can make the hours in class go up very fast.
Chemistry seems to have the most labs, 2 chem eng majors I know had 3 classes for 12 credits and 22 hours in class last spring.
