Anyone else has trouble getting a good night's sleep primarily due to trying to study

I've been trying to develop a good study habit recently (with a good amount of success, but not quite to A's range yet) and it's really been taking a toll on my sleep. I used to be able to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep, now I'm only getting 3 to 6 hours, which can make attending college exhausting.

Anyone else has had trouble establishing a good sleeping pattern?

Yeah, but for me the bad nights are the 5-8 hours of sleep and most nights I get 8-9 hours of sleep (at the expense of "hanging out"). I just try to put in a good 4 hours of work a day (if I work hard of course) barring major tests or papers and then just go to sleep.

Part of my problem is that I tend to get distracted a lot. Granted, I'm better at it than I was during high school year, but it's still a problem.
