If we went with Miami we'd probably go to Ultra.. although I'm not sure how good that is. Where would you go and why? And if you have gone to either, how was it?
I live in jersey.. looked today and prices to cancun and miami are about the same going upwards of 400-550..

I think being very conservative, it can be done for less than $1,500, but I think after you account for all of the expenses, it will be around $1,500-$2,000 for a week. It really just depends what hotels you want to stay in. I would choose Las Vegas over Miami and Cancun. But, out of your 2 choices, I would go with Miami.
The only thing to remember is that you would be legal to drink in Cancun so no problems getting into bars or clubs that you wanna go to. I hear Miami is kinda tough on fakes.

Don't get caught drinking underage. It's just not worth it. And having a fake ID is a federal crime.
