Can't stand my roommate

I live in a triple and one of my roommates DOESN'T STOP SNIFFLING. I can't do any work without listening to music as to block out the sound but even then the sniffle penetrates the music. I can't stay in the room whenever he's here. I don't understand why someone won't blow their nose and just sniffles instead..... it doesn't make any sense!! What would be a non-offensive way to tell him to blow his nose? "Excuse me, I really can't concentrate on my work, can you please blow your nose?" god i hate sniffling

Maybe he doesn't have any tissues with him, and that's why he's sniffling instead. I mean, I sniffle when I don't have any tissues with me, especially when I'm in class and my nose suddenly starts running, and I'm not going to blow my nose gunk all over someone else.

Offer him some Allegra or Zyrtec--maybe he has allergies. that may make both of you happier.

Maybe he's not aware that tissues can also be used for blowing your nose.

Keep asking him annoying questions. Maybe he will pick up on it...

Are you feeling okay?
Feeling under the weather?
You alright man!!!
Coming down with a cold?

Maybe it will dawn on him that the sniffling is VERY noticeable and annoying...

He definitely has allergies. Get that guy to pop some zyrtec or karkland allergy medicine from Costco.

There is no such thing as a "perfect roommate"! lol Be happy your roommate doesn't do drugs and sexile you. You've got it easy.

Wait, you're really freaking out over the fact that your roommate is sniffling?

Hand them some tissues and/or turn up your music and get over it.

Trust me, it could be A LOT worse.

If you want to declare dominance, you have to pee on him.

Try telling him in a joking kinda way, like you're messing around. Then suggest he might have allergies and recommend some allergy medication.

Just tell him to blow his nose. Don't worry too much about not making it awkward. TIs going to be awkward no matter what. So would you rather go through that one moment of awkwardness or continue living in these conditions? Id say the first
