B/c some people don't want their feet to fall off by the time halloween rolls around...think about it...entire floors of people using the showers, even if they are cleaned daily are great places for all sorts of fungus and bacteria. Shower shoes are probably the best $5 you can spend in college. I just used flip flops from old navy.
I have 96 trillion pairs of flip flops, so i'm just bringing a pair or two for shower shoes since i'm not into athlete's foot, warts, or other foot nastiness that's present in those showers.
really cheap plastic flip flops. make sure you air them out or they will get gross. and take them off before you enter your room!
Go to walmart and get a few pairs.
Also, never go into the bathroom barefoot. I know that makes common sense, but you will start to forget and go into your home bathroom habits.
I thank you guys very much for answering my question because it would be a really weird question to ask someone in person. Picture it:" Uh, like you live on Campus?" "How do you wash your feet with houseshoes on?"
A good example of why NOT to go barefoot: A guy in my dorm building jacked off in the shower... and didn't wash the walls or floor afterwards. Do you want to put your feet directly in contact with that? I wouldn't
my school has "private bathrooms" in 9 dorms - private meaning shared by 5 or 6 girls. I STILL wouldn't go barefoot, because they are skeeziest bathrooms ever. Even if it was me and just one other person I would still wear shower shoes - who knows what's growing on that shower floor
