My bathrooms freshman year were cleaned daily and shared with about 15-20 guys with two shower stalls. I still wore flip flops.
Sophomore year, there were six of us in a suite to one shower that got cleaned once a week, and I never wore flip flops, none of us did actually.
This year I'm off-campus in a one bedroom.

I went to penn state and my floor had only two bathrooms for about 40 people or more. I would say I took showers barefoot about 90% of the time. Yes, I bet lots of people relieved themselves in the shower and did other things as well, but I like taking ice cold showers(which requires you to be very jumpy) so the flipflops were a nuisance. My bathroom is probably less hygienic anyway.

Imagine how many people will be living on your floor who pee in the shower or shave (and not just their legs or faces!) in the shower, and then you'll know why flip-flops are recommended.

I think men and women thousands of years ago who hunted with sticks and rocks and weren't afraid of large mammals coming at them with full speed would be proud of our generation.

Showering = showers...
thousands of years ago = no showers...
no showers = clouds...
clouds = rain...
rain = water...
water = clean!

If you like urine,jizz, period blood, and body hair on your feet then by all means don't wear flip-flops. After a nice hot bath you will crawl into your bed and rub that stuff all over.
Even if your living in a dorm room with a shower I would still recommend flip-flops or a bottle of lysol.

IT doesn't look gross but I would never trust it. I don't know whats been on it and how many drunk people threw up on the floor the night before. so naturally i like some protection (flip flops) in the bathroom... dunno I would keep my flip flops on. I never understood how some people went in there barefoot
Pushka-They also ate alot of raw meat but I know you wouldn't do that too often today...

Wow some of the bathrooms on here are pretty bad. I am going to MSU, and will have community bathrooms, and as far as I know they are cleaned everyday. Not once or twice a week, but everyday. I don't see how you could do it otherwise.
