Girl problem

Both of my roommates have girls visiting them to talk to them, give them hugs, etc.

Why don't I got hoes knockin' on my door?

Advice plz.

Because you call girls "hoes." A girl can usually smell disrespect at 20 paces. Try making friends with some girls - and I mean friends, not "friends."

I'm pretty good at the former, I have a lot of guy friends because I'm pretty chill and have a decent sense of humor.

Don't care much about the latter because of ethical issues.

So you have ethical issues hooking up with girls, but you want hoes to visit you and give you hugs?
Am I missing something here?

Nah bro, I want to be friends with chicks that's all. But each time I try to talk to them they seem disinterested.

And not all relationships are sexual.

You're either too ugly or too boring.

People who make those statements deserve to be called hoes.

And when I referred to hoes in my original statement, I meant hoes in the colloquial slang context, not the misogynist/chauvinistic context.

ho = whore

it's absolutely chauvinistic to refer to all women in general as whores, whether or not you're simply glorifying rappers or whatever your excuse is.

haha there are definitely ways to be clever with sarcasm.
calling all women prostitutes (while ironically wondering why you can't meet them) isn't one of them.

internet: serious business

Seriously though, unless you go to a really conservative or religious school, everybody calls female friends hoes in a non-serious joking manner.

which totally makes it okay..? do you often refer to african-americans with the n-word? because i mean, tons of people do it in a "non-serious joking manner."

i actually go to a very liberal, public school, and i can guarantee you that many other people in our student body take issue with derogatory terms as well.

but this is a ridiculous discussion to be having with some random guy on the internet. i'm done. good luck with the hoes!

It all depends on the context nahimsayin'?

If Jack the Ripper called a woman a hoe, I'd be scared and disturbed.

If the Grand Dragon of the KKK said the n-word, I'd also be scared and disturbed.

But if girls jokingly call each other hoes and rappers use the n-word in their songs, I wouldn't mind because it's common, colloquial language.
