Lawyer. Lawyers without a conscience are worse than prostitutes imho. The only subset of this field I respect is the public prosecutor.

I want to be a lawyer, and yes, that post does sound kind of ignorant. Lawyers are no worse than businessmen, entertainers, etc.

people always typecast lawyers into the frivolous lawsuit making, murderer defending, money grubbing scum.

What they don't realize is that a lot of them don't even go to court. Lots just advise companies and deal with patents and junk.

A nurse. I don't want to clean poop. I don't want poop thrown at me. I don't want to wipe a soon to be dead patient's butt.

The terrible hours, the threat of lawsuits (depending on your specialty), the huge amount of memorization and learning involved, and the fact that you will have to watch people suffer and die on a fairly regular basis.

Still, having said that, there's nothing in this world I would rather be than a doctor.

My first job was cleaning lawns for 10 cents an hour. Worked as a stock boy after that (included changing fluorescent lights, cleaning toilets, sweeping, trash, etc.), then a page in a library, and as a clerk on medical surgical wards (most were female). I brought patients to tests, processed paperwork, charts, brought down the yucky stuff to the lab, once had to help move a body, sometimes worked in the Intensive Care Units and Pediatrics. And then into professional jobs. I don't know that I'd say not to potential jobs. When you become a parent, you take on a whole bunch of jobs and tasks that you won't believe until it happens to you. And then you realize that your parents did that for you.

I've worked in a wide variety of jobs. You can make most of them interesting if you try.
