I just found out that ABC News 20/20 will give a special report on JuicyCampus.com this Friday at 10 p.m. (eastern).

Yeah, Mika, its probably like "Juicycampus has been the source of a number of suicides"... they pull this crap with EVERY website young people use.

Anyway, I love juicy campus. I've started a trend of asking "who is this person?" and its really cool to see someone post "Who's that cute girl with the dreadlocks" and its one of my friends.

I also got some good tips as to which professors not to take and such.

I'm so glad my school doesn't have this. We are way too small and I know everyone would flock to this since we are all image-conscious and most are rich, snotty kids who grew up with sites like this such as voteforfun.com.

quitejaded, maybe your school didn't turn it into something obscene but mine certainly did. I was absolutely disgusted by it. The top threads were like "who's the biggest [s-word for loose women] at Auburn?", "who has the biggest [male genitalia]???", "who's burnin' at Auburn??" (aka who has STDs), and "white girls who date [n-word] are disgusting." I was saddened to think that apparently so many people here are racist and obscene. I hope that most of the racist posts were made by only a few people (which is what it seemed like, but you never know on there).

Mika, RateMyProfesor is just ONE site. There are others. What's wrong with getting MULTIPLE sources for something as important as which professor to take?

AU, my school has its fair share of "these white greek hoes are sluts" and "Will T. Thomas has a big willy" but you don't have to pay attention to those. Top threads used to be "Who is the biggest slut on campus?" "Which b*tch is a gold digger?" but people started to get over it. Those kind of obscene things aren't as popular as the less obscene ones and there are plenty of innocent ones. Surprisingly, I haven't seen any racist posts.

jaded, you have to pay attention to them on my school's page because those are ALL THAT ARE ON THERE. That was the point. Baylor, apparently, was the same way, from people I know who go there.

Every school has people like that. It's usually a select few that make most of those messages, the majority just look at it and go "my god, that's horrible, why would anyone write this?"

everybody just talks about frats/sororities and who the biggest whores are. Or which girls have the biggest breasts. It's... not that interesting.

This.. about sums it up

GoldShadow, you are right. There are only a few people who check JC and make those kind of posts when they are bored or mad at somebody. Then people go on there like "JC is a terrible, terrible place!!!"

That's unfortunate that your school ONLY has those negative posts. Maybe you can break the trend. I know me and a few other people have. Every now and then someone puts a really insightful post and it seems to have worked. Of course, you cannot get rid of all the nasty things, but that is fine with me. It's just a website like any other.

And I really hate Baylor. Its such a hypocritical school to me... I have friends who go there because its supposed to be "an Ivy League school in the next few years" but I call BS and/or Don't Care. In fact, one of my baylor friends transferred to SMU. (Of course I am just talking about undergrad. Baylor Grad is great!!)
