lol, AUlostchick, youre right it didnt kill my GPA its just me being irritated. and trying to live up to the irrational expectations my parents set me. they think i should be to hold up my awesome GPA from first semester when i took mostly easy classes. it really just killed my chances of having a 3.5 after freshman year was over. oh well, not going to matter what i got in history freshman year in the long run.

As long as your major is not history, you're fine. It's not really a biggie. Here's a secret: I've made 3 C's and GASP an F in college. Do I let it bother me? No. I had a bad year. It happens. I've worked hard to bring my GPA back up (had a crappy sophomore year where I got all of those grades) and I made a 3.8 this semester, making my cumulative a 3.4 and my major a 3.83. As long as you do well in your major classes, and don't do horrible in any other classes like gen ed's, you'll be okay, despite what the crazy people on this forum sometimes think.

So far I've got 2 A's and an A- for the semester, after getting about a C on the first exam for the class with an A-. I'm just waiting on a class that's worth 6 credits because it meets more times per week than a normal class. I'm expecting an A- given that you have to get a 96+ to get an A. :/
