| Do you remember the 1st day of college? What was the 1st day of college like for you? Do you remember the feeling of walking into the dorm room and thinking this is my home for 9 months? Did the smell in the dorms gag you? Was you roomate crazy cool or just plain crazy? Did anyone have to go hear the president of the college talk? What did they tell you? What would you tell the next group of freshman about the first day of college? |

| I painted my dorm room - and because of that immediately made a handful of friends, as all the girls on my floor wanted to see my room and hang out in there.
I didn't have a roommate, so I didn't have the crazy roommate issue.
The first day of class wasn't too bad. I always arrive early so I can mentally adjust before the crowd gets in.
The worst part (for me) is wandering around campus lost, like an idiot (and looking like a lost clueless freshman.) |

| I worked at our state fair up through the night before the first day of classes, so my first full day on campus was my first day of class. I had moved in the week before and met my roommates for a couple hours, but that was it.
The fire alarm went off during my first class, and we got out 30 minutes early.
I ate lunch with some random people I'd met during my first class--we're in the same major, and most of us still hang out together.
I met my current best friend in my 2nd class, we went to dinner, the football team's open practice, and a party together that night.
I loved the first day, mainly because I met so many people that day. |

| i moved in early because i was on the colorguard so my roommate wasn't there yet. it was kind of lame for a few days because i was the only person in my suite at nights when we were done with rehearsals. at the end of the week we had a colorguard party at the captain's apartment and it was basically a s**tshow--soo much fun. everyone else moved in around that day, too, and we went to frat court, where basically the entire student body was milling around, and ran around the main street of my school's town. after that it was kind of a whirlwind of meeting people and falling in love with carolina |

| Move-in day was so hot, and it took awhile to lug up all mine and my roommate's furniture up to the fourth floor, and after all that I just wanted to take a shower. Then we went to dinner, and got together with the rest of the classmates in our freshmen seminar course for our first meeting of orientation week (yes we had a whole week of orientation).
For the first day of class, I don't really remember, other than getting together with everyone on swim team for an easy practice to start the season. |

| I would say if there's a shooting at a college and it doesn't even make national news, that's pretty ghetto.
And it's "alluding" by the way |

| Well, move-in day, me and my family moving all my heavy stuff up to the 4th floor. Oh, and my building didn't have an elevator :/
First day of classes, all I remember is being lost all day and carrying around a map. |

| Guys! Guys. Lets get back to the question. How did your first day or even week of college begin. A whole week of orientation eased you into the whole experience. What did you do for a whole week? Some people don't even remember that day. I find that odd. Its such a big event. So much work went in to getting to that day. Maybe that means it wasn't so hard or terrible. I wonder if its different at a large school vs a small school? |

| I didn't go to orientation. People dropped by my room and introduced themselves. I went to the dining hall with them and played video games. |
