My first semester Freshmen year every day of the week, i had an 8:00 class. Of course, after that, I usually finished classes completely around 11:00 - 12:00 or had a huge break after my first class. I took advantage of this and napped extensively (2-3 hours). I loved the schedule, getting up early, getting my classes done early, then sleeping and studying the rest of the day. It worked perfect for me and it turned out to be my favorite schedule out of my 8 semesters.

Unfortunately, yo don't seem to be able ot do the same thing. If you're going to have such early classes, you're probably going to need to nap.

yea, i agree... im prob. gonna have to take naps...
oh, like today, i got up at like 7 to get ready to go the the hospital and omg, after lunch while i was in nuclear studies after watching a stress cardiac exam... i totally fell asleep for like 10min in the corner of the room, pretending to read a chart on the wall explaing ekgs....

i would say, i am a morning person, i have always been... the only thing is, i go to bed really late so i usually have to take a nap somewhere in my day to keep me from completly dying out

The schedule looks fine to me.

Some people really over exaggerate the 8 am thing, saying "you will not be able to consistently make it to class" and things like that.

Don't get me wrong. 8 am classes are the devil incarnate; they should be absolutely avoided if it is possible to do so.

But as a freshman it's often hard to avoid them. I had 8 AMs just about every day of the week for both semesters of freshman year, and although I didn't like them, I begrudgingly woke up and went to them and learned things. It's possible, just annoying.

There's no such thing as a morning person in college. You're not going to get to class. It's that simple. Everybody thinks that they won't have any issues with morning classes, and everybody is wrong. Just don't bother.

If you are disciplined and you don't allow yourself to miss any of your early-morning classes, and if you make time to nap in the afternoons, you will be fine. (You may find it easier to get up at 7 every day than switching back and forth between early mornings and sleeping in.)

If you're going to bed late, not napping, and giving yourself permission to cut Arabic when you're "really tired," you're going to be tempting fate. It is always going to seem like a better idea to go back to sleep instead of getting up for class than it really is.

I don't understand why so many people are saying Arabic is difficult. It was the single easiest language I've learned.
As long as you pick up the alphabet and memorize short vowel positions. you'll be fine for the most part - nor do I feel that 8am is too early of a class.

that MWF is KILLER. unless you know you are definetly a morning person then dont do it. being in HS by 7:30 in the morning is nowhere near the same as having a college class at 8 or 9 am. i would do something to fix that MWF. either drop the arabic to a different time or drop the middle one of the 3 classes so you have time to eat and wake up before the rest of your day.

thats the last thing you would EVER catch me doing

I don't care if you get up NOW at 7am, your sleep schedule will change drastically in college. You'll have meetings that last until 10pm, friends you'll hang out with until midnight, or work to do until 2. 8am may not seem really early now, but you WILL regret having that 4 days a week next year...8 am is suicide in college. I'm a "morning person" and had trouble with a 9:30 class..do yourself a favor and see if you can't change that schedule a bit!
