One of my methods for remembering assignments and dates is to put everything on sticky notes, and then sticky to the top of my desk or above the wall. (My desk had a bookshelf stuck on top of it last year.)

Also, make sure you organize from the very beginning; put things in appropriate folders in a place that you can find them again, such as a desk drawer. Put all syllabi in a binder for easy reference.

The Cal Newport Blog does look like a great educational blog....Lots of study tips etc...
