I have had a couple of sleepovers with my roommate, though, and at least in that situation it turned out okay. (We live about twenty minutes apart.) *shrug* Yeah, not the same thing.

I email my roomie a lot. We've been emailing each other back and forth for like the last month so I know we'll at least get along once we move in. Right now, things seem good...fingers crossed so that things stay this way =)

I LOVED my roomie last year (freshman year). She was such a sweetheart and had a great personality. We had many things in common and we hung out alot as well. In fact, we're gonna be suitemates this year along with 2 other people. I'm so excited!!

My freshman year (2 years ago), I got put in a quad with 3 other roomates. They all seemed weird over the internet before we moved in, but they were all awesome. I still hang out with them and one is my pledge brother. Completely randomized housing, we were all out-of-state, I guess I was REALLY lucky.

i was real excited about my roomie before frosh year. we actually picked eachtoher over facebook cause i was paranoid. had a couple of hour long convos over facebook and seemed really ocmpatable and alike so requested eachother. ive told the story a million times, so ill just leave it at she wasnt as she seemed. cnat tell eveyrthing aobut a person from online. and we wound up barerly speaking by the end of the semester (when she transferred).

then i got a random girl next semester who moved out of a bad situation. seemed really hyper and worried/dramatic when i first met her but we wound up becoming really good friends. the initial impression was just becuase of the stress from her old room or something.

so you never know! dont fall too much in love with ur roommate before you live with her for at least a month. THEN youll know how good it acutally is

just finished my first year where i was put into a triple. one of the girls and i had a bit of an issue, but we're still friends. the other one and i, though we don't have exactly the same interests, are really good friends and we've decided to room together again next year in a double. ironically, during the first week we didn't get along so well (parentals got over protective). it was totally random. honestly, you never really know until you get there. i am a big advocate for random rooming, because if you do like them great and if you don't it's not your fault and you don't have the added pressure of knowing you picked them.
