| So...who REALLY likes their roommate? I just talked to my roommate for the first time over IM, and I really liked her a lot!
Am I the only one? |

| yes, i bet you are. i never liked any of my roommates. they're fine as a person, but almost anyone as a roommate can get annoying. |

| My roommate and I talked a lot recently, mostly through email, but we did have a three hour AIM conversation yesterday. We seem to get along pretty well, but we've never met in person yet, so who knows? Things do change. =[
I like her so far, though. Hopefully the feeling's mutual, and it stays this way! =P |

| I shared a room with two girls freshman year. That was about it. Nothing in common, I rarely held a conversation with one of them, the other was always off with her boyfriend, I was more into going to my friends rooms instead of having them over.
Last year I roomed with 3 girls in an apartment and I loved it, for the most part. Even if you're best friends you'll get on each others nerves every now and then.
Now I have a single. It is amazing. |

| I don't know my college roommate yet (we don't find out until August!) but I went to boarding school and was really good friends with my roommate junior year. It all kind of went out the window partway through senior year, but oh well...we were friends while we lived together. |

| I lived in a 6-man on-campus suite last year with 5 of my best friends and it was a blast. I legit liked all my roommates and still hang out with them from time to time now that we've graduated. |

| i loved my roomie last year (& all of my suitemates..we all became super close, which i know isn't very common). we used a roommate finder web site, so it wasn't totally potluck, but we didn't know each other beforehand. we're not living together next year, but it's not because we didn't get along..i just wanted a change. and someone a little more liberal/flexible if my boy slept over or whatever.. |

| I thought my freshman year roommate was really cool. We didn't hang out much on the weekends (ended up with different circles of friends), but whenever we were in the room together we got along great--played video games, darts, guitar, watched TV, etc, procrastinated...
We didn't end up living together sophomore year because I wanted to move closer to my classes and my other friends and his classes and friends were on the other side of campus. But we still talk now and then.
Sophomore year I wasn't too close with my roommate, but we got along fine. |

| I'm definitely good friends with my roommate from last year. We didn't hang out too much outside of class but that's because we weren't too interested in doing the same things. Also, I wasn't in the room a lot of the time. But I'm living with her and one of our floormates this coming year (we all get singles!) and I'm totally excited. |

| I really liked my freshman year roommate a lot, as well as all of my suitemates. which seems to be really uncommon. we all got along and hung out all the time. we did have some problems, but over a year you have to expect a few. we were completely randomly assigned, but we're all living together again next year! |

| Mine seems really nice so far. She's not my ideal roommate as far as interests go, but I think we should get along just fine. I just hope that we'll get along in person. |

| As of right now, before I've actually moved in, I like my roommate. Then again, we contacted each other in the first place because of similar interests on the matching site that my university uses to help people find roommates for their first years, so that's not exactly unexpected. |
