drop a class (w/o W) and take class over summer

So i took my first midterm for microeconomics and did horrendously (like failed), it only counts for 15% of my grade however i can still drop the class up until next friday w/o being penalized. I am taking 16 credits w/ econ and would be taking 13 w/o. the minimum to be a registered student is 12 credits. I am at an ivy league university and would take econ over the summer at a local community college to ensure an A...i had just fallen really far behind in the class and had scramble to catch up

Sounds like you have perfectly logical reasoning to back you up.

It's probably the best thing you can do. You can use the extra time to focus on your other classes so that you can make good grades.
