should i leave?

heres the thing. I'm a pretty shy person. I never really had many friends in high school and now that I got into college, I find myself open to make friends. I met a few ppl, got a facebook etc. I joined the greek system. It was cool at first. Now i find it unbearable. I go with a group and can't get myself to talk to them. I can't laugh when they make a joke( I usually fake it when i do). I feel so fake. I'm just not enjoying myself. I'm thinking about dropping the whole thing(though, I paid exorbitant fees). But at the same time I really don't want to be lonely. People probably have already formed their own cliques. At least with the organization, I can use them as insurance in case I can't find any other friends. I don't know what to do...

Try talking to someone (big brother if you have one) in your Greek system.
