How do you get motivated?

I don't know how to get motivated. I have two assignments due by 11:00 and I barely got started. Is there anyway you motivate yourself or are you lazy as well? XD

I'm not sure if I am completely lazy because I almost never do my work until the last second. So I guess what motivates me is that, "Ah crap, this is due tomorrow/soon."

I think, "i do this or die". An ultimatum usually works for me.

it's ok. you're a procrastinator. there's nothing wrong with you. you probably work best when you procrastinate. i know i do. embrace it. working under pressure can make some people do some of the best work ever. and that's how you motivate yourself.

do your homework as soon as it comes out and then you'll be fueled by the heady feeling of getting ahead

even if you have something due tomorrow, do the stuff due next week first, because then you'll feel ahead even though you're behind. and you'll want to work because you'll feel like a million bucks. works for me.

fizix is correct. If you do something right when you get it, you will be more eager to get it done. The longer you wait, the less interest you have, and thus procrastination ensues.

I'm a lot less interested in something when I have a month to do it compared to when I have 3 hours to do it...

I don't know if waiting until the last second makes my work better. I have to stay up late and I feel so tired that I'm probably not concentrating as well as I could.
