My boyfriend and my bed

My boyfriend always wants to sleep over every friday and saturday night but I dont want him there. I have a freakin twin xl which is a LOT smaller than my queen and I'm on top. Its so uncomfortable to have someone else up there with you. How do I explain that sleeping over is a no no....

just say no.

if your communication with your boyfriend is so poor that you can't even explain to him that you don't want him staying over because your bed is obviously too small for two people, something's wrong.

^ ego's right. You could just tell him the truth? If you can't tell him the truth then you might want to reconsider a few things...

Tell him it's uncomfy and you need your sleep. So after snuggle time, he needs to hit the road or get himself an apartment with a queen bed for you two. He really can't pick up that you want him gone?

I'm with the others here, you need to be open and honest with him. If he doesn't understand, then oh well, you'll have a choice to make.

I think the big issue is... In what fantasy world is a Twin XL too small for two people? It's called a Twin for a reason... . Works fine for both me and my girlfriend and my roommate and his girlfriend.

My boyfriend drools like a dog and his cuddle-drive while sleeping is so intense he practically smothers me. A twin is not big enough. XD

A twin bed wouldn't be big enough for me and my boy either for a long period of time. We're both at/way over (in his case) the 6' mark and while I'm skinny, he's rather large, so I could see the twin bed being an issue.

I don't understand why the OP won't talk to him though.

OP, if you can't bring yourself to tell your BF not to sleep over you really need to evaluate some things. What else are you doing that you really don't want to?

Stand up for yourself!

Haha we're not at that stage in the relationship yet.

Nah, I meant our respective beds.

A twin is barely long enough for me -- and with a girl, there's no way you can sleep on a twin without "overlapping" a bit if that makes sense.

Plus, I sleep on my stomach usually - it's just hard for me to fall asleep any other way - so I take up a lot of width. Hence, the girl has to sleep on top of me a bit. That's fine by me, but I can see how it can be annoying for a girl.
