Someone Will!!!!!

I bet someone here double and triple checked all their items for school, had all these clever lists and still, still forgot their tooth brush.

D bought a filing cabinet with all locking drawers. She puts her laptop, etc. in one drawer, her jewelry/valuables in another, and her ipod/DVDs/etc. in another. She uses the top for a nightstand. Somebody could take it out of the room (with a dolly), but it's not something they would take in an impulsive, convenient moment. There have been several thefts in the dorms this first month of college, so she's been pretty good at remembering to lock it. I think this is a great idea and provided her with a needed nightstand, too!

whos gonna bring a toothbrush anyway?

i think we should bring only huge stuff (aka computer and clothes, maybe a mattress) as opposed to everything... naw mean??

then again, im not critisizing anyone, just saying its more logical to buy the small stuff once you get there

You forgot toilet paper. Our rooms have bathrooms (2 to a room) and we are currently almost out of toilet paper. And I still fear going to Wal Mart. Scary place in post-Katrina land.

You know kenneth, you're quite bright

"are you planning on going to the moon or something?"

Wow. You're so clever and insightful! Seeing as we're in mid-October and everyone has long done their school shopping, nonetheless. And that no one even needs to read this list anymore, seeing as they usually have better things to do than read over lists so they can post "witty" replies deriding it several months after it was posted.

You've got super timing and a rather clever mind kenneth! Aren't you a bright one? I'm sure people who have finished their college shopping a month and a half ago will care bundles about whatever you have to say!

Like I said, you're really a bright one

"well, i still got about half a year since im a hs senior this year"

Oh really? Well, I suppose you can make snide comments about what people are going to pack when they go to college, since you probably haven't even turned in your own college applications yet. *note the sarcasm, if you can*

"and come on, whos gonna bring like gatorade and stuff..."

Are you saying no one is going to want to have their favorite drinks around when they're in college? Ooohhh, right. You're just some senior kid who doesn't actually know *****.

Hey Kenneth, after you spend your first month in college, please come back and read your comments on this thread again. Trust me, you'll feel pretty stupid then.

I just realized that there is a very important thing not listed for those who don't have a kitchen but at least a microwave: HOT POCKETS!

Without them, I would starve.

um kenneth, as a hs senior I don't think you should be commenting on whether COLLEGE students need this stuff. which they absolutely do.

"who's gonna bring a toothbrush anyway?" um, just about everybody

"who's gonna bring gatorade?" yeah everybody (who likes gatorade) has that too, including me

you don't just bring the big stuff to college. it's the little stuff that you need the most and will regret not having if you don't bring it.

I'd bring gatorade because it's so much cheaper buying it in bulk at the Costcos near my house haha
