my scholarship information came with my acceptance, so it could mean that you didn't get any scholarship. however, im not sure if OOS works differently

I'm still waiting! I applied in early October. They recently asked to see my 2nd semester grades, that gives me a glimmer of hope for I just made Honor Roll. What does the acceptance package look like? Is it a huge envelope? Does it come with a logo bumper sticker? It would be so nice to hear from them on a Friday so that I can celebrate with my family. Congrats to you all that have already been accepted! Hopefully I will be in the Class of 2012 as well

I received my acceptance package around a week ago. Was offered a $10,000 per year scholarship.

Nextoprah - Its a big white envelope with a dark blue TCNJ folder inside of it with a few papers and a certificate. It did come with a logo sticker - I'm not quite sure if its meant to go on a bumper though, maybe on a car window? lol

Maas0890....thank you so much for that information - now I know what to look for. That was a nice scholarship package for a public state school! I wish you the best! Another question is - did you hear first via e-mail or USPS. I check my app status every 5 minutes and it states it's in a review status.

Maas0809: Are you a NJ resident or OOS? Would you mind posting stats?

Nextoprah: Yes, my parents were extremely excited and surprised about it, as was I. I was kind of shocked to receive that much money - my GC said that she had a nice atleast hour-long conversation with the admissions officer a few days earlier about being offered a scholarship so I don't know if she said something that influenced the amount I was offered. I received my acceptance in the mail - I received nothing via email, but then again I never "checked" their site.

Peachy: I am a NJ resident. Sure, I'd be happy to.

I had a very rigorous course load and a very high gpa by most standards - I think thats what helped me the most. Before I moved to a new high school in October, I had taken or was enrolled in all 10 AP classes offered by my high school and was ranked #4/600+ kids at a mediocre high school in northern NJ. I took every honors or AP class offered by my school. My converted unweighted at my new school gpa was a 94 (it was a 3.9'ish at my other school) and converted weighted gpa was about a 96 (it was a 4.7'ish at my other school due to different methods of weighing courses). I am definitely in the top 10% of my present high school - the valedictorian has a 98'ish weighted gpa.

SATs (best scores out of 3 sittings) - CR - 700, M - 650 (rather low by most standards on CC I know lol), W - 710

I dont think TCNJ looks at SAT II's but mine were: US History - 780; Biology (Molecular) - 740, English Literature - 650

My letters of recommendation were alright - they weren't anything extraordinary in my opinion, but not bad.

I held 2 jobs and was pretty involved in many EC's (NHS, FBLA, Key Club, Interact Club, Optimist Club etc). Had a few leadership positions - 2 to be exact, 1 being rather serious and bearing a great deal of responsibility with my FBLA chapter. I won a few awards at FBLA competitions. (FBLA was my most involved and significant EC involvement)

I put a lot of time into my essay - it was rather personal, but I think it was very well-written.

Once again, I was in special circumstances having moved to a new and very well-known prestigious high school early on during my first semester. I think my GC played a significant role in assuring the admissions officer that I did have the credentials for such a scholarship, especially since I was in the top 1% of my class before moving down to the top 10% at my new high school. I can't say for sure whether I would have been offered that same amount of money without my GC's involvement.
