I'd have to say in based on what you gave but I reserve judgement until you post..

1) SAT's
2) Unweighted GPA

The community service will help you a lot and so will the "all honors" course load, but the SAT's and ESPECIALLY the unweighted GPA matter the most

1800 or better is very good and will help you out.. It also depends on which school at tcnj you're applying to

CM26...please chance me

Top rated high school in NJ
GPA: 3.2 Unweighted
SAT: 1740
EC's - Habitat for Humanity, Varsity Cheerleader, American Cancer Society, Job for the last 2 yrs, Church-Student Leader, Ronald McDonald House of NJ
Took mostly Accelerated and Honors courses - No AP ..really regret it now.
Made Honor Roll 3 times. Terrible sophomore year!

Still waiting on a decision from TCNJ. It seems like they like to make you wait until the very last minute and then it arrives on April Fools Day - SCARY!

Well it is true that with TCNJ the longer they make you wait the better your odds are of being accepting, in fact when I applied for transfer here during my first semester (at Susquehanna University) I didn't even hear back until AFTER the deadline haha.. Anyway, your GPA and SAT's are a bit low but I do know current freshman with grades equivalent to that... Your community service work is a major plus at TCNJ which loves cs...

What school at TCNJ did you apply to?
What are your individual SAT scores? (CR/M/W)

In general I'd say your scores are a little low for me to give you a certain answer, but seeing as it has taken them so long to get back to you (someone said the deadline to hear back is tomorrow 3/31?) I'd say you have a good shot.. So post back tomorrow and remember this - Even if you don't get in now you can always transfer in (it's easier to transfer in than get in as an incoming freshman).. Good luck

CM26....I hope you are right about the waiting process because again no mail today. I know I have my back up school, but I really would like to go to TCNJ. I'll see tomorrow if the mail brings any good news.

Again - no mail from TCNJ. Oh my goodness, TCNJ really keep you on suspense! Is there anyone else out there that is still awaiting a decision or should I just be expecting the worse. I read that they had a Accepted Students Day this past Sunday and that really makes me nervous.

I saw your other post where the Self Service still says app. under review (or something like that).. When TCNJ didn't give me a decision when I applied I asked about that and they said that message will stay there unless you are accepted, so even if you get denied it will still say under review.. Now, they will change the "under review" to "accepted" the day they mail out your letter (mine changed around 6:30 pm and the next day I received a beautiful envelope).. To calm you down, try calling admissions and ask them when you should expect to hear back. I did that and they were so nice about it an gave me a good answer and it made me feel better.. So every night check self-service and see if it has updated and if you are accepted then you'll know before your letter even comes..

CM26....called admissions yesterday and received Acceptance letter today. I am SO HAPPY! TCNJ was always my first choice school. Even after visiting almost 20 colleges in the last three years. Nothing to me compared to TCNJ. Thanks for your advice CM26. Class of 2012 baby! I get chill bumps when I write it and say it - OH MY GOSH, I FREAKIN CANNOT BELIEVE IT! YESSSSS!

Congrats NEXTOPRAH.. See I told you all along that you had nothing to worry about, its when you hear back quickly from TCNJ that you're rejected.. You will absolutely love it here I promise, so come to the bookstore (or go to their website) and order your TCNJ sweatshirt and wear it proud.. Also get used to people telling you how great and hard to get into TCNJ is, because seriously EVERYONE tells me that...

Now that you're in it's your job to go on here and talk to prospective freshman about TCNJ and what you think about it

I'm glad you found your dream school early, I hate that I missed all of the fun events of TCNJ's freshman orientation and the experience of living in the towers with other freshman.. Congrats again and best of luck to you here.. See you around campus!!
