Interview request form university, AFTER acceptance?

I just got a invitation for U of M (Ann Arbor) interview request. They say they want to talk to me and they are willing to send a person to my house. They say they want to learn how I currently perceive U of M and my future college plans (I got this mail once form the director and once from College Connections Coordinator). I am already accepted. What does this mean? I never heard about interviews like this. I'm hoping its something good because my application stands out more than many applying to U of M (stats below). What are they trying to do? What should I do? Are they trying to kick me out? Are they giving me scholarships?

ACT: 34
GPA: 3.9 (my school is top 1% in Michigan)
Leadership: Captain of Varsity Quiz Bowl, VP of Investment Club, Field Officer of Operation Smile, Organized fundraiser for Haiti.
Sport: Track and Field.
Volunteer: A lot.
Work experience: Once, in Korea.
Essay: I don't know but I know for sure I didn't bomb them.
Living: Raised by a single dad, moved to America when I was in 5th grade, my sister currently in U of M.
Etc.

P.S. After I got my acceptance letter, I didn't go to the site and accepted and I didn't put $200 for dorms yet, which shows I have interests in other colleges too (I applied to 8 more, all higher ranked than U of M)

I sound like some ****** (it sounds like I'm bragging) but I seriosuly don't know what this is about. Anyone got a clue?

Sounds to me like they really want you and don't want to lose you to any schools to which you're cross-admitted, so they want to send someone (probably an alum who lives in your area) to try to personalize your dealings with the school and sell you on the school in the guise of an "interview." It's unorthodox, but why not? Your stats and ECs are impressive, as is your life story. You're something of a catch for them; not to say they don't get others of your caliber, they get plenty, but they want to maximize their yield among top students like you so they don't need to reach further down in the barrel in later stages of the admissions process. Don't be paranoid, be flattered. Do the "interview." Then go to Michigan, it's a great school and you'll love it.

I would do it - there is nothing to lose and maybe money, special opportunities etc to be gained. You will not be obligated to go to U of M. I would be more comfortable having the interview at a coffee job or school though.

I would think that if it were scholarship potential they would inform this in the letter to entice you to actually do the interview, but I would have to agree bclintonk in thinking it is just a way to help persuade you to pick University of Michigan. Nonetheless, the chances of a scholarship still remain so I would attend the interview.
