Nothing much happened to Ohio State in terms of punishment for all of the years Tressel cheated and I doubt much else will happen to PSU.

Indeed, rjk!!!

Tressel's cover-up of four tOSU players traded their jersey for tatoos should also warrent Death Penalty, instead the school only got 'Lack of Institutional Monitor.' Nonetheless, Tressel was fired, so that Michigan could finally win one without endless excuses..

Michigan was 9-1-1 in the 1990's against John Cooper, a man who never sullied the reputation of Ohio State. TOSU had to go out to get a cheater, who had lots of experience in it at YSU, to beat Michigan and it worked. As far as I'm concerned, his entire tenure is questionable. Maurice Clarrett ring a bell? But that's ok, at least he didn't fire Gee before he left. Then who would be leading tOSU to glory now? lol :-)

^^ Well, I am sorry, rjk. We all want Loyd Carr to coach Michigan again, but he is long gone..

From Bo Schembechler to Gary Moeller to now Brady Hoke, it is no secret that the Wolverines had long discovered the secret to its football success, which would be to hire Ohio coaches and players. In fact, even for its academics..., President Harlan Hatcher of tOSU. University of Michigan is the Ohio State of the north!!

Better double check it, rjk.. Maurice Clarett was prior to the helm of Gee, the President back then was Karen Holbrook. tOSU had been beating Michigan long before Gee arrived..

"Maurice Clarett was prior to the helm of Gee."

He still played for Tressel, which is the person I was referring to whom Gee expressed a fear that he might get him fired.

Michigan doesn't "hire" players. That would be in the realm of Ohio State. lol. ;-)

It seems a lot of people from Ohio were anxious to go to that school up north. Heck, I even know an OSU graduate that went to Michigan State for grad school. Even he couldn't wait to leave Ohio! lol ;-)

All joking aside Sparkeye, the information and confirmation coming about about the administration knowing about what was going on at PSU and trying to cover it up is truly disgusting. I believe there will be more criminal charges coming soon and yes, I also believe the NCAA is going to get involved too. PSU is in deep trouble. :-(

"Even he couldn't wait to leave Ohio!"

True story: I was working at a client's mfg. facility in a small Ohio town, and I looked up at a street sign and the name of the street was 'White Woman Way'. :-)

Freeh Report: Penn State violated the Clery Act

Paterno's legacy may now be damaged beyond repair

"A statue should be least of someone's worries at this point," Penn State's former star linebacker LaVar Arrington said on his radio show in Washington, D.C. "A name on a building should be the least of someone's worries.

Joepa's statue most likely will be melted.. lol

Penn State University could lose all of its federal education money, potentially tens of millions of dollars, in the wake of the Freeh Report because the U.S. Education Department is investigating Penn State University too.

Those federal investigators could smack the school with a massive financial penalty for violations of something called the “Clery Act”.

The results of the Freeh Report said, among other things, Penn State did violate the Clery Act in its handling of Jerry Sandusky.

It's truly a sad day for Penn Staters. Most likely than not, it will be the death to its football program for awhile..

P.s. I think I will redirect the discussion to "Parents Cafe" I've found,
