My mom works during the week (I work three days a week, so I'm slightly flexible) and I'm not around on the weekends very much. Is it worth it to go by myself or should I try and find someone to go with?
I went on all my college tours alone. It's not too bad, but get someone to go with you if you can. It's nice to have someone to talk to who isn't directly related to the school.
Everyone's different. Out oldest son flew to Ohio and toured a couple of schools all by himsself, and he saw some schools with family (USC) - we made it part of our summer vaca.
Our D toured all her schools with parents, and youngest went to northwestern with sister, not parents.
So, take good notes, and if you can do it, congratualtions. Not everybody can.
