| University of Houston vs Louisiana State University
I'm a student, graduating a very selective but small magnet school with a total population of about 400-500. I'm ranked about the mid-teens of my class, according to the end of junior year, with about 100 students in my class. My GPA is about 4.6 weighted and 3.81 unweighted. This year, I am taking AP Literature, AP Calculus, World History, Anatomy/Physiology, Physics, and Web Design/Computer Graphics. My SAT is 1960 and ACT is 30, but I'm waiting on my newest score from the October test for ACT, which will hopefully be a 32 considering that I practiced a lot. I live in Louisiana and hope to attend a college and hopefully make a career in the medical field or dental field, majoring in biology, chemistry, or something in between. Considering that I am not very fond of Louisiana, I want to move out, but only if the money and school is right. I can either attend LSU or UH, with some other colleges, but those are the only two that I will mention. After college, no matter where I attend, I plan to leave Louisiana and start anew. Considering that both schools are pretty easy to get into, I want to choose between the two. I have the tuition for LSU covered, with TOPS program, that pays for my tuition since I got higher than a 27. But, UH offers about the same. I'd get to pay in-state tuition plus whatever scholarships that I may earn since the scholarships, according to a guy in the admissions office I talked to, would be more than a 1000 dollars. Which one would you recommend?
