Given the small size of many of the foreign countries vs the US of course they would have more "internatonal" faculty and students. That part of the ranking is ridiculous.

These rankings are based on "MOST GLOBAL." I believe this is an important factor in a university.

I am satisfied with those rankings
Same here. Especially the Top 10 US School list is exactly same as my world-class school list except Caltech (which is too small for my taste to be included in my list).

Yes, they called me beforehand to verify their list

when do the new usnews rankings come out?

ps. these 'global' rankings are absolutely ridiculous and utterly flawed.

What'd you expect? This is a ranking of "world" and "global" universities ... unless you interpret "world" in the same category as in "world series" or "world championship"...
LOL. and the "world cup" doesnt mean much to us either

No, these rankings are just as good as US News. Just because US News ranks your college higher doesn't mean its a better system. US News also doesn't seem to take quality of education into consideration.

Look at the research contributions these universities have provided and you'll see why UCSF is ranked higher then Dartmouth.

Btw: This is also a pretty good indication of how famous these colleges are around the world. Berkeley for example is much more famous then people give it credit for in the USA. Its international fame is only surpassed by Harvard. Of course people complain that Berkeley has a bad undergrad experience but that isn't factored in.

Guys- this is for UNIVERSITIES not COLLEGES. So graduate work is what's being looked at, not undergrad. UCSF doesn't even have an undergrad school!

No. I think one would hear Stanford and Yale mentioned before Berkeley, at least.

lol wow thank you for that website

So what UCSF is the premiere medical university of the world? I've just never heard much a/b it so it seems very out of place.
