Help out next year's seniors! Let's list schools with a non-binding early application program!

1. Georgetown: November 1
2. Wellesley: January 1

I'm pretty sure all "early action" programs are non-binding

Yea, seriously you won't be able to get a full list of early action schools. It's impossible and a waste of time, since places like the Princeton Review and others from CC have those lists done already.

There are over a hundred schools with early action. Hundreds more with rolling decision, though most of these hundreds are schools that no cc'er would ever allow himself to go to

I'm thinking Janelle might have been referring to multiple choice EA schools (i.e. SCEA schools like Yale and Stanford).

Wellesley doesn't have EA; it has EE which is due on Jan 1 and which tells an applicant of the likelihood of her admission. It has binding Fall ED as well.

To answer Knights09's question -- yes, typically you can apply to an ED school and as many EA schools as you want.

Because the ED application is binding and the EA applications aren't, there's no conflict. As you mentioned, you will have to withdraw all the EA applications if you're admitted to your ED school.

how does the percentage of getting into college when you apply for ED ??? If everyone takes the chance of ED then personally I don't think it's easier somehow.

Please note that Butler University has changed its early action deadline to 11/15. Thanks!

This is a useful categorization but I'm not sure the list is complete or up to date.

According to Michigan (Ann Arbor)'s website, they still use Rolling Admissions but have added an Early Action (or "early response" in their parlance) option, guaranteeing an answer by Dec 21 for applications received by Oct 31. Otherwise, admissions decisions are made in waves, generally within 8-12 weeks of application, with a final application deadline of February 1.
