Major Question

I am really torn between what I want my major to be. I just took the SATs and will applying for colleges in a few months. I'm Indian, and if you know Indians, you know parents drill into your head that you have to become a surgeon. Well, I used to believe I actually wanted to be one. Now that I talk to my parents, they're okay with me being with whatever I want to be as long as I can secure a job and I make good money.

I have really good background in technology. I've done a lot of stuff concerning both hardware and software. I don't really like coding, but I love working with hardware and designing (Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, etc). I also kind of liked Biology freshman year in high school and I'm taking AP Bio now. It's too early to tell but I like AP bio also, so I thought of Bio-tech.

I also have a family background of business. My parents, my uncles, almost my whole family and all our family friends were somehow involved in multi-million rupee (indian currency) business in India. So I went to India this summer and watched some of them at work and helped them out and I loved that too...

So the three fields I'm thinking of are:
Bio
Tech
Business

I could mix and match 1 or 2, but I don't know what kind of majors and jobs are out there.

Any ideas of what I would be interested in that would have a good job call by 2015 and a good salary?

Tech and Business are usually a great combination, especially now in the computer age. Even Biotech and business could be a good combination.

Don't worry about "choosing" - you can easily major in more than one and find a company that deals with both.
