yes. Are you in the 1st or 2nd round? How frustrated are you?

I'm in the 1st round. It is really frustrating. All of a sudden there is like a million forms you have to turn in in 5 days. And just when you think your done, they send more. But hopefully it wil be all worth it.

What schools are you ranking? Since you are from Texas, what do you think of Rice? Have you heard any date for the announcement?

Did you have to fill out additional college applications besides the mega QuestBridge App?

QuestBridge is this thing where you fill out an application to be sent to schools of your choice from a list of schools. If the schools you pick, pick you to be admitted you get at least full tuition and room and board paid. Its geared toward low income families and minorities.

Well, I filled out the grinnell preliminary application and their financial aid forms.

I heard that the announcement for admission will be on the 22nd.

I just moved to Texas so I don't know anymore than you would. It seems like a really good school. Just the heat in Texas sux. I ranked it pretty high.

I ranked all but Trinity. What about you?

Funny, I ranked Duke and Trinity, but Duke isnt in. I visited Duke, Amherst, Williams, and Trinity. Duke was my favorite in overall terms;, academic choices, size, sports, warmer weather and at least near the city. Williams is really beautiful but remote and cold. I think I would go crazy after time. Trinity provides the most urban location which is a plus for me as I am only 15 min from Philly. I know the academic ratings aren't as high but as I checked into the reasons to learned more and I was fine. Grinnell seems great but again remote so I agreed to be considered for regular decision. I really want a campus with access to transportation, etc.

I know it is a lame answer but Trinity didn't feel right. I don't know why. It didn't seem like there was anything wrong but I knew if I ended up going there I'd be disappointed so, I didn't pick it.

I ranked Duke. I want to go to school way over away from here. You guys live in Texas, that's crazy... I thought Questbridge was only a California thing, being that it's based in in Stanford. Anyhoot, it's been a long process... it'd be excellent if I got it, then I wouldn't have to fret about any other stuff... but I doubt it. Hmm.

Starontheside and el calculo. Just in case you have not checked the website, I was wrong. The announcement for our college matches will not be announced until Dec. 1 for round 1 and 2.

I got it as well. Just today.

On another note... right. I hadn't taken the ACT nor the SAT* by the time the scores were due, but I have since, do you guys think I'd still be able to send those in?

Right right, that's about it.

Have a great day, smile!
