Someone requested an updated list of schools with no application fee, so I obliged I included any school that Collegeboard listed as having no online app fee as of today.

I don't want to encourage random applying with research - so make sure to check the criteria and stats a school looks for before assuming it's a safety for you.

* indicates that I have heard lots of good things about this college! (aka my bias)

*Case Western University (OH) - research university, Cleveland
*Drexel University (PA) - experiential education focus, Philadelphia
*Kettering University (MI) - experiential education focus, 64% accepted, Flint

University of St. Thomas (MN) - Catholic, 85% accepted, St. Paul
Concordia University (CA) - 64% accepted, suburban, Irvine
Concordia University (OR) - 58% accepted, urban, Portland
Lewis & Clark College (OR) - 2K students, 68% accepted, urban, Portland
Transylvania University (KY) - 1.1K students, 84% accepted, urban

Pine Manor College (MA) - lac, 450 students, 53% accepted, suburb of Boston

All my information comes from the CollegeBoard website. Rankings are according to U.S. News. I'm sure I have missed many schools, but I think I added a few with my list. As far as I know, every single one of these colleges is a private school, with the exceptions of Truman State and UT El Paso.

Hope all my surface research and categorization helps!

I have a list of over 200 colleges with no application fee or they waive it for applying online. I'm not saying they are all worth applying to but it's a start.

Purdue University would be a good choice, and it's ranked among the top 200 universities of the world. But I don't know whether it is a user of common application.

You need to add Hendrix College to this list.

"The easiest – and FREE – way to apply to Hendrix is to create a Common Application account at www.commonapp.org and submit the online application. Using the links to the printable application forms below, you may also download and mail a completed Common Application directly to Hendrix. "

Hendrix is such a nice college with an extremely fun application to boot! One of the questions was "What is your favorite candy?", and my friend wrote "skittles." After she was accepted, they mailed her skittles!

But, besides that, Hendrix is a wonderful liberal arts college and is ranked among the 40 Colleges That Change Lives. Hendrix College | Colleges That Change Lives

I just wanted to say thank you to this thread! I decided to apply to Colby on a whim (it was free to apply online). I ended up getting accepted and I received the second best financial aid package from this school! I turned down Northwestern, UC Berkeley and UCLA to attend Colby and I still cannot believe that I wouldn't have even applied in the first place if it wasn't for this thread.

Thanks for all your hard work!
