Haha..yea. I started applying to some because I realized the application was free/waived but then I realized I had to pay to sent SAT/ACT scores, pay for postage for school reports, pay to have my school send their stuff, and...just, it adds up to a lot. I wouldn't recommend doing it unless it's a college or safety you would actually consider going to.

Just read online that Hampshire College is now free if your applying for Fall 2009...they waived their fees! (Sorry for any International students, I think you still have to pay)

Just check Free College Applications for the full list. It's a lot easier than weeding through this thread.

Houston Baptist University is free too! especially if you apply online. and you're almost guaranteed to receive a scholorship of some sort

Saving Money on SAT score reporting

Many schools we looked at DID NOT require a score report FROM college board but would take the scores from the official HS transcript. Emailing the school and asking is a good way to double check but it was nice to save some money!

It doesn't matter if the application fee is free or you have to pay. All that matters is that you get a good education.
