Hi pinkearmufs, I'm looking for the same thing myself. Some places to check out are USC, Loyola Marymount, Chapman U, and Emerson College. Also, UCSB seems to have a pretty decent film school, though it's not focused on production/screenwriting.

koushirou, dramatic writing programs are usually entirely separate from film programs. You'll need to confirm that with the schools you're interested in. My D has a few friends in Dramatic Writing at Tisch and they are very pleased with it. Film at Tisch is a separate entity, and also an excellent program.

Good point, sorry I didn't clarify: From what I understand, the schools I listed (with the exception of UCSB) all offer specific degrees in screenwriting within their film schools.

Okay, good, I'm glad you checked into that. I guess all of those you're interested in do it a little differently than Tisch does at NYU. Good luck!
