USC is good if you're staying in SoCal.
And Stanford...I suppose =P

It is a bit easier on the whole, though for b-school, perhaps not. I know that for Berkeley, it doesn't matter whether you're applying for Haas as a freshman.

^ You don't apply for Haas until spring semester of sophomore year.
And I think the two schools are pretty comparable in selectivity (Berkeley a little tougher).

On a less selective note, I've heard countless good things about LMU. That could be a good safety?

I like socal18's list for undegraduate, but would move Cal Poly SLO up at least one tier.
Besides Stanford for graduate, there is also UCLA--and USC, of course--plus the others on the undergraduate list. UCI is also starting up a full undergraduate business program this year--and has had a MBA program for awhile now. Lastly, UC Merced has a business program at the undergraduate and graduate level--but it is also new.
