Pepperdine is an evangelical Christian college. Is that what you want? I wouldn't go that direction unless you're really committed to it.

Pepperdine. It's in paradise and while it is a conservative place, it isn't impossible to fit in if that isn't your thing. Rhodes is just so homogeneous. I visited thinking it was my dream school and I came away incredibly turned off.

Two beautiful campuses. Pepperdine may be the most beautiful setting in the country, along with West Point, in my opinion.

Thanks for the advice so far!

I'd just like to add I am Christian and extremely Coservative. I am looking to major in Math and International Studies.

Things that attracted me to Rhodes: I really liked the people. Everyone seems like the kind of people I'd like to be friends with. Good International Relations program, good music program, GREAT mock trial team. Small, small class size, ability to help out in Memphis b/c of socioeconomic surrounding, Honor Code

and Pepperdine: Closer to home (I tend to get very homesick), beautiful, everyone was very friendly, good music program...

And they're both really pretty and Christian...

I'm really not sure :/

I'd also like to add that I'm Roman Catholic and these were the only two schools I applied to that weren't Catholic, but somehow they ended up at the top of my list. It's also very important to me that classes will be interesting as well as demanding.

Thanks everyone

Love Pepperdine - Good Friend of mine lives by Vandy and wouldn't consider Rhodes because of location...(her opinion, not mine) But Rhodes has great sciences (Pre-Med)...Pepperdine-good business, ok science, definitely better international programs.

Pepperdine sounds like it would be a good fit.

The highest ranked Catholic university or college to which you were admitted: Notre Dame, Georgetown, B.C., Holy Cross, Fordham?

No, I didn't apply to those. I applied to Catholic University of America, St. Mary's in Indiana, USD, and USF.

Those are all good schools, C.U.A. and St. Mary's (sister school of Notre Dame) in particular. Which of these four was your top pick and the runner-up to your named top choices?
