I have waaaaay too many colleges on my list for so many different reasons. Can anyone try and help me narrow it down a bit?

Here's my list...
Webster University in St. Louis, MO
McKendree University in Lebanon, IL (Methodist University)
Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO (I have a cousin that can get me a really good financial aid package there)
Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO (my mom went there)
Missouri State University in Springfield, MO
Drury University in Springfield, MO
Greenville College in Greenville, IL (Methodist College)
Columbia College in Columbia, MO
Westminster College in Fulton, MO
MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL (Methodist College)
Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL
Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO (Obviously a Methodist University)
Columbia College in Chicago, IL (Love the thought of being in Chicago. Unfortunately, it's really expensive and I hear financial aid is hard to come by there)

I would rather attend a medium to largely populated school. If I do attend a smaller sized school, I'd like to be close to a city so I won't be so bored. I grew up in a medium sized town and absolutely hated it. Everyone knew everyone and there was nothing to do.

I'm planning on majoring in early childhood education or music education. I am big in band and choir so my college must have a fairly decent music program.

Remove the religious colleges if you want a true education without having to learn mythological garbage at the same time.

^ Considering that the OP has listed four specifically Methodist schools, perhaps he/she is Methodist and would enjoy a religion-infused education.

I agree with NealJ2K. Don't pay $$$ for a class that you can learn for free in a church.

Columbia in Chicago is only great for certain majors such as jazz piano, photography - academics are not fabulous and probably not so great for music ed. My niece was very impressed with Webster when she visited and that would give you the city location near St. Louis.
