Top Schools which aren't HUGE on GPA.

Hey guys, i got some great standardized test scores (well-above average for most schools in top 10). My GPA on the otherhand is neutered (some helpful imagery) because of mass grade deflation in Canada (I used to go to school there). I mean its not horrible but its prolly like 3.6ishSO my question is: Are there any particular schools which are notorious for going head-over-heels over good SATs/ACTs and not place incredible amounts of influence for GPA?

If that is a 3.6 / 4.0, I wouldn't let that hold you back from applying to top tier schools. Assuming your other stats check out, you can easily compete with a 4.0 / 4.0 applicant. Don't blame me for getting your hopes high, but you can still have a fighting chance at most schools.

If your rank is good (ideally top 10%), you are golden.
And fyi, most students with "well-above average" don't get in anyways. Every aspect of the application for top 10 schools has to be great.

noobcake is right. Most top tier schools examine every detail of their applicants. Any 'number crunching' school that goes head-over-heels over good SAT/ACT scores will most likely do the same for high GPA. Public schools are good examples. Because their applicant pool is so large, their admissions process revolves around SAT/ACT and GPA checks.
