University of Otago - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Does anyone know anything about this university? How hard is it to get in (especially if you're American)? What are the requirements and how much does it cost per year? Anyone familiar with this college have any suggestions or tips?

I was seriously considering applying to university in New Zealand. The school websites have really good info, and generally good sections for international students. Their admission timeline is different from the american one though since they are in the southern hemisphere.

Otago is the second best university in New Zealand(first is Auckland). I don't think it's too hard to get into, especially since international students have be pay much more than New Zealand students. I looked around for you and here's the tuition info:

They're all in NZ dollars(which is down at the moment) and the current exchange rate is about 1US dollars for 2NZD.

Otago is most well known for its med/ bio programs.

NZ is indeed a beautiful place.. but I think you'd get a better education elsewhere.
