Help help! UCB or UCSB?

Can someone please give me some advice?
Stupid May 1 is way too soon...

And I cannot choose between UC Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara

The good thing about Berkeley is that it is a better school. However, it is more expensive, I didn't get the Regents Scholarship even though they made me drive up all the way to LA and do a stupid interview, I feel like I won't be able to continue my extracurriculars there, I'm afraid I won't make any friends, the studying seems intense, and when I called the financial aid office about a question, they were rude and dismissive to me.

Santa Barbara, on the other hand, has given me the Regents Scholarship and all the associated hoopla. It seems pretty chill, and I know I can be a top student there. But I'm worried about not fitting in there at all, like with finding friends and things to do, and that people here will think I'm stupid for going to UCSB.

What do you guys think?

If there is a huge money difference and money is an issue, it would be better to go to UCSB. That said, you need to stop worrying so much about "fitting in" just be yourself. Also, do not be so presumptuous that you think you will automatically be a "top student" at UCSB, it is a very good school with many stellar students. You will have to work hard no matter which UC you attend.

Yeah, well, maybe not "top," but not like failing and being killed and butchered by the curve set by the "stellar students," like what Cal is supposed to be like

if the money issue isnt huge, i would go to UCB ..ucsb is a party school and i know that college is what you make of it..but berkeley has a lot more to make things out of..plus you will be surrounded by inspiring ppl

UCSB is a top school but unless you absoulutley can't afford Berkeley, I'd go to Cal.
