Missouri Elementary/Early Childhood College Education Major

Which colleges are the best or recommended in Missouri in teacher education elementary/early childhood education? Many offer the degree, but it difficult to distinguish which programs are the best and/or compare colleges. Some belong to certification type organizations. Any thoughts or comments ?

You should ask the principals and teachers at the elementary school you attended, and other nearby schools. They will have lots of information for you.

MANY of the teachers in my city went to MSU (Missouri State University in Springfield, not to be confused with Michigan State University). I've also heard that Truman does well in preparing future teachers in early education.

I'll second Truman. The program seems to be highly respected. I also believe they have a program which allows Masters level in five years.

Thanks for the suggestions. Truman has a great reputation, and so does MO State
