both carleton and middlebury got back to me with my acceptances this morning, but i only have the time to attend one. i realize that this choice depends on my specific preferences, yet i was wondering if anyone could suggest one or the other or give me more specific information. i have to choose within the next week. unfortunately, i tend to be very indecisive, so i'll see where that leaves me.

Cornell not only has the engineering diversity weekend but also overnight diversity hosting weekends for the college in general. First one is this weekend but other dates are scheduled. Cornell will pay for some students but will also let other students who have their own funds to join. DS's friend is going this weekend and I'll report back his experience. Ds received a letter from Dee Gamble, director of multicultural recruitment, which talks about the weekends.

This is an up-to-date (as of October 2009) list of FALL diversity overnight programs offering free transportation/room/board. Open to ALANA students (including Asians) unless otherwise noted. I've provided contact information only for confirmed '09 programs.
